Donna R. “Hokey Pokey” Hoke, 77, of Freeburg, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Donna was born on January 24, 1947, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late David and Harriett (Kitchen) Cooper.  On October 20, 1962, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hoke, who preceded her in passing on November 20, 2020.

Donna attended Selinsgrove High School, and later earned her GED.  Her employment included working and making many friends at Boscov’s, JPM, and Wal-Mart from where she retired.

Donna enjoyed and was well known in the area for baking cakes, especially wedding cakes.  She ultimately enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her precious dog, Alex Marie.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Hoke Orwan and her husband Rick and Tammy Ifkovits and her husband Matthew; grandchildren, Tara Billheim and her husband Jonathan, Bob Orwan and his wife Jasmine, Nena Laskoski and her companion Jonathan Young, Christina Mench and her husband Tim, and Carrie Laskoski and her companion Jake Simcox; great-grandchildren, Andrew Fultz and his companion Haylee, Carson Orwan, Jailyn Orwan, Ellea Orwan, Daniel Bilger, Jenna Bilger, Jocie Young, Natalie Vallati, Hunter Kreider, Bow Kreider, and Kendra Smith; sister, Arlene Webb; special family friend and neighbor who was more like a son to Donna, Dennis Shaffer; and her precious furbaby, Alex Marie.

Donna is preceded in passing by her husband, Bob; parents, David and Harriett; brothers, Jack Cooper and Bob Cooper; and sister, Betty Heiser.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 100 N. South Street, Freeburg, PA 17827, with Pastor Kurt Kantz officiating.

Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
