Alan Burgess

Alan “Bud” Burgess, 63, entered into rest on February 2, 2025.

He was born in Lewisburg on February 21, 1961, a son of the late Philip and Ruth (Wilt) Burgess.

Alan is survived by his siblings, Tina Burgess and Adam Burgess and his wife Dianne all of Selinsgrove; sons, Jeremy Burgess and Jathan “Jake” Burgess and his wife Jessica, and their mother, Joan Wydra; granddaughters, Serena and Maya, who he adored; uncle, Rodney Wilt and his wife Tina; several cousins; and his caregiver, Sam.

He graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1979.  Alan retired from the Selinsgrove Center.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to Wellsboro, his warm beer, of course, and going to the Moose, Legions, VFW’s, Fire Companies, and AmVets Clubs.

Due to allergies, please no flowers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery, 3066 Neitz Valley Road, Selinsgrove, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.  Alan’s mother, Ruth (Wilt) Burgess, will also be placed at her final resting place.  A celebration of Alan’s life will follow at the Selinsgrove VFW beginning at noon.
