Alvin S. “Al” Graybill, 75, of Richfield, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Nottingham Village.

Alvin was born on May 5, 1949, in Mifflintown, a son of the late Wilmer and Joyce (Wetzler) Graybill.

Alvin was a graduate of East Juniata High School.  After high school, Alvin enlisted in The United States Navy where he proudly served in Vietnam.  He had been employed at Wood-Mode for several years, and later, with the Richfield Area Joint Water Authority.

He was a volunteer firefighter with Richfield Fire Company and a volunteer paramedic with Richfield Ambulance League.  Alvin was a past master of Middleburg Masonic Lodge No. 619, a past member of the board of directors for the Zendt Nursing Home, and a past council member at Richfield Lutheran Church.

Alvin enjoyed hunting and fishing and reading about unexplored science.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Graybill and her spouse David Chromiak; son, Alex Graybill and his wife Rebecca and, son, Adam Graybill; grandchildren, Mason, Evan, Myna, Ryland, Riley, and Gabriel; siblings, Sandy and Brenda and her husband Roger; and former wife, Rita Graybill.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Richfield Union Cemetery, with Pastor Hugo Schroeder, III, officiating.  A Masonic Service will be accorded by the Middleburg Masonic Lodge No. 619 and military honors will be accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Post No. 25 and Selinsgrove VFW Post 6631.
