Barbara E. “Barb” Hoover, 78, of Richfield, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2025, at her residence.

Barb was born on April 5, 1946, in Richfield, a daughter of the late Marvin “Polly” and Almera (Minium) Varner.  On July 2, 1960, she married Larry D. Hoover, who preceded her in passing on December 9, 2020.

Barb was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.  Barb and Larry were co-owners of the Richfield Country Store.  She was also a hairdresser, and, lastly, employed as a healthcare aide.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.  Her greatest enjoyment was the love she had for her family, and spending precious time with them.

Barb is survived by her children, Pamela Hoover and her companion Albert Brouse of Richfield, Angela Horning and her companion James Bisset of Richfield, Crystal Huffnagle and her husband Troy of Richfield, Michael Hoover of Easton, and Melissa Campbell of Mt. Pleasant Mills; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barb is preceded in passing by her sister, Patricia Smith and brother, Gene Varner.
