Douglas L. Ebright, 66, of Richfield, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 16, 2024, at his home.

Doug “Pap” was born on March 8, 1958, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Ronald and Phyllis (Kratzer) Ebright.  On April 18, 1975, he married his lovely bride, Kathy (Troup) Ebright.

Doug attended Middleburg High School.  He was employed for over 30 years at Wood-Mode until their closing in 2019.  He then went to work for Heister House Millworks from where he retired.  After retiring, Doug realized that he needed a “schedule”.  He was currently employed part-time at American Holtzcraft.

He was a member of the Richfield Fire Company, Richfield Ambulance League, and the Richfield Water Authority.  He served as Scout Master for Richfield Troop and was an honorary member of the Midd-West FFA.

Everyone that knows Doug, knows he was a John Deere Man!  To express his love for John Deere, please wear your John Deere hats and clothing to his viewing and funeral service.

His hobbies included mowing lawns, hunting with his boys, and spending time with his family at their cabin in Sullivan County.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter, Allison (Ally) Held; son, Josh Ebright and his wife Laura; grandchildren, Wyatt Ebright and his wife Amber, Judge Ebright and his wife Ashley, Olivia Held, Hanah Ebright, Lundyn Held, Noah Held, and Carli Ammerman; great-grandchildren, Jaylee, Nevaeh, Bridger, and one coming in November; sister, Dawn Gardner and her husband Glenn; brothers, Dirk Ebright and his wife Rory and Dave Ebright and his wife Michelle; mother-in-law, Sarah Troup; brothers-in-law, Steve Troup and his wife Nancy, Dan Troup and his wife Karen, and Jim Troup and his wife Stacy; “adopted” grandchildren, Dylan Winters and Ben Maneval; and best friends and traveling companions, Brad and Kathy Lear.

Doug is preceded in passing by his parents, Ronald and Phyllis and his father-in-law, Robert Troup.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, September 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA, with Pastor Brittin Stimeling officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Arbogast Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Doug be made to the Richfield Ambulance League, PO Box 236, Richfield, PA 17086.
