Eleanor “Ellie” Faye (Willow) Hockenbroch, 90, of Liverpool, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:25 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Richfield Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 19, 1934, in Greenwood Township, Perry County, the youngest daughter of the late George Bruce and Cora Mae (Shiffer) Willow. In October 1949, she married Junior Delvin “Chup” Hockenbroch, who preceded her in death July 22, 1996.
Ellie was employed as a seamstress at Eileen Hope for several years before working for the New Bloomfield Dress Company, Newport, until retirement.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Liverpool, where she enjoyed great alto voice singing with her son, Donald, and the Salem Trio.
Ellie enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Russell (Gay) Hockenbroch of Liverpool, Glenn Hockebroch of Dauphin, Donald (Lorna) Hockenbroch of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Carol (Max) Kauffman of Newport; 8 grandchildren, Chasity (Dean Paul) Juran, Kimberly (Eric) Stahl, Olivia Hockenbroch, Bridget (Aaron) Bobber, Charlie Kelly, Kurtis Kauffman, Christopher (Megan) Kauffman, and Keith Kauffman; 10 great-grandchildren, Elleanna Juran, Leo Bobber, Liberty, Braden, and Brylee Stahl, Brian, Cassandra, and Chloe Kauffman, and Brynlee and Brielle Kauffman; two sisters-in-law, Mryna Buckley, and Audrey Hockenbroch; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 46 years, she was preceded in death by two children, Gene and Alan Hockenbroch; one granddaughter, Allison Hockenbroch; three brothers, John (Sara) Aucker, Cloyd (BettyAnn) Willow, Charles (Ann) Willow; six sisters, Hazel (Charles) Graham, Sally (John) Reichenbach, Flavia (William) Feltman, Sadie (Willard) Chubb, Florence (Paul) Dietz, and Mary (Albert) Kerstetter; three brothers-in-law, Leslie (Zelda) Hockenbroch, Leon Hockenbroch, and Clarence Buckley; and a sister-in-law, Betty Hockenbroch.
Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025, at George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, where a funeral service will be conducted at 10:30, with Pastor Andrew Bucke officiating.
Burial will follow in St. John (Barner’s) Lutheran Church Cemetery.
