Evelyn M. Kerstetter, 73, of Millerstown, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Geisinger in Danville.

Evelyn was born on September 27, 1950, in McVeytown, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Laura (Fultz) Weaver.  On October 29, 1969, she married the love of her life, Gary E. Kersetter.

Evelyn was employed at Richfield Nursing Home for 15 years in Environmental Services and later at PRN Home Healthcare as a Home Health Aide.

Her hobbies included cooking, baking, and watching John Wayne movies with her husband.  Evelyn’s passion was her love for her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Gary; two sons, Randy Kerstetter and Melissa Dougherty and Scott Kerstetter; grandchildren, Anothy Ficarra and his companion Alexandria, Lisa Landis and her husband Frankie, Nathan Kerstetter, Bailey Kerstetter and his wife Emily, and Lexi Kerstetter; step-grandchild, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Karlei, Taelor, Dax, Arion, and Lennon; step-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Greysen; sisters and brothers, Pauline Grove and her husband Samuel, Velma Steele, Linda Weader and her husband Gregg, Connie Wilt and her husband Steven, and Ronald Weaver and his wife Margaret; and granddog Karma.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Wilbur and Laura; brother, Samuel Weaver and his wife LaVanda; and brother-in-law, Roy Steele.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, with Pastor Wayne Kerstetter officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Dressler’s Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Evelyn be made to the American Lung Association, National Direct Response Headquarters, PO Box 756, Osceola, WI 54020-0756.
