Gary P. Pyle, 74, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home.
Gary was born on August 6, 1948, in Danville, a son of the late Palmer and Nadene (Landis) Pyle. On June 30, 1973, he married the love of his life, Glenda (Ernest) Pyle.
At an early age, Gary enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served for four years. His life was dedicated to being a self-employed stone mason with his brother, Kenny, as Pyle Brothers Building Stone Contractors.
Gary enjoyed street rods and hot rods. He was a former member of the NSRA (National Street Rod Association).
Gary is survived by his wife, Glenda; children, Angela Pyle, Shane Pyle and his wife Karen, and Amber Teates and her husband Travis; grandchildren, Quentin Pyle, twins Rockwell and Mickey Pyle, and Everett Teates; siblings, Judy Nevius and her husband Zane, Kenneth Pyle and his wife Kathy, Pastor Bob Pyle and his wife Rita, David Pyle and his wife Cindy, and Carolyn Adrian and her fiance’ Duane Rowe; and mother-in-law, Nancy Ernest.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Palmer and Nadene; and father-in-law, Glen Ernest.
Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
