Gaylene M. Hile, 66, of Middleburg, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Gaylene was born on January 14, 1958, in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Lewis Baker and Beneida (Irvin) Poorman.  On October 15, 2005, she married the love of her life, Lonnie E. Hile, Sr.

Gaylene was a member of the Centre Hall and Milesburg American Legions.  She enjoyed being a homemaker.  Her family will fondly remember her always being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

She enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with friends and her grandchildren, helping people, and her most loved hobby was dirt track racing.

Gaylene is survived by her husband, Lonnie; daughter, Gina Sunday and her husband Todd, Sr.; Sons, Logan Hile and spouse Diana and Lonnie Hile, Jr.; granddaughter whom was raised by Gaylene and Lonnie, Shenia Strouse and spouse Tyler; grandchildren, Celena DeLong and companion Kyle, Andria Renninger and spouse Cordell, Ryan Sunday and spouse Felicia, Sheena Sunday and companion Joey, Blade Soccio and companion, Brittany Kreider, Andrew Kreider, Brently Hile, and Hudson Hile; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gyla Lomberger and spouse Sherm, Kevin Poorman, Sr., Shawnne Confer, Andrew Baker, Sr., and Harold Poorman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Lewis Baker and Beneida Poorman; daughter, Mary Kreider; brother, Lewis “Lewie” Baker; grandson, Doug Sunday, Jr.; and great-grandson, Ryan Sunday, Jr.

Per Gaylene’s wishes, there will be no services.
