Gregory A. Shaffer, 72, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Evangelical Community Hospital.

Greg was born on August 8, 1951, in Washington Township, Snyder County, a son of the late C. Bruce and Minnie (Frantz) Shaffer.  On February 28, 1986, he married his precious bride, Jodi (Mengle) Shaffer.  They shared over 37 years of marriage.

Greg was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School.  He had been employed as a truck driver at Weis Markets, Inc., and at the same time, he was also a farmer.

He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1173 of Selinsgrove, Dauntless Hook and Ladder Company, and Freeburg Volunteer Fire Company.

Greg enjoyed farming, gardening, cooking, playing cards with his friends, and going to Whispering Pines with his grandchildren on his golf cart.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Jodi; children, Mike Fultz and his wife Jackie and Amy Hoffman and her husband Greg; grandchildren, Connor, Case, Cooper, Mason, Hannah, Steph, Sammy, Bubbie, and Joey; great-grandchildren, Payton and Phoebe; his cousin, Dave Shaffer; and other family members from Reading.

He is preceded in passing by his parents.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, with Pastor Pete Carnahan officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
