Henrietta June (Pyle) Kepler, 87, of Selinsgrove, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Henrietta was born on June 8, 1937, in West Perry Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Arthur “Bill” and Edna M. (Shellenberger) Pyle.  On September 21, 1957, she married the love of her life, Ernest P. Kepler.  They shared over 66 years of precious marital memories.

Henrietta attended Greenwood Joint High School for 3 years, and graduated from East Juniata High School in 1954 with the first class to graduate from E.J.  She also graduated from Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing with the class of 1957.

She worked at Sunbury Community Hospital, Hollie Peace Nursing Home, and SUN Home Health Services.

Henrietta volunteered with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile and The Mustard Seed Thrift Store.  She served on the Board of Directors at SUM Child Development, Inc. and The Mustard Seed Thrift Store.  She was a member of the Friends of the Library in Selinsgrove.

Her hobbies included doing needlework, reading, and growing flowers.  She cherished precious time with her family and being a part of their lives.

Henrietta is survived by her husband, Ernest P. Kepler; children, Douglas A. (Lynne) Kepler and Jeffrey S. (Jane) Kepler; grandchildren, Jacob R. Kepler, Ty (Elizabeth) Kepler, Muir (Ryan) Blochberger, Carson J. (Karley) Kepler, and Amelia M. (Louis) LaScala; and great-grandchildren, Cassius L. Kepler, Dylan H. Kepler, and Theodore Francis LaScala.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Arthur “Bill” and Edna; brothers, Earl Pyle and Leon Pyle; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Kepler.

Per Henrietta’s wishes, services will be private.

The family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Henrietta be made to Sharon Lutheran Church, 120 S. Market Street, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
