James Stemler

James Steven “Jim” Stemler, 62, of Liverpool, entered eternal rest at his home on June 1, 2023, with his loving family by his side.
Jim was born on March 11, 1961, in Harrisburg, a son of the late Frank and Beverly (Bennar) Stemler.
Jim graduated from Greenwood High School. After high school, he enlisted and served in the United State Army. He dedicated his life to truck driving where he was known as “Asphalt Cowboy”.
He was a member of the Pennbrook American Legion Post 945 in Harrisburg. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique trucks, his motorcycle, making his own ammunition and knives, spending time with his family and friends, especially kayaking, and spending time with his dog, Baby, who was his best friend and constant companion.
Jim is survived by his former wife, Carolyn; daughters, Kelsey Stemler Dietz and her husband Johnny of Liverpool, Sierra Groninger and her husband Andy of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Angel Peugh of Liverpool; brother, Frank Stemler V; sister, Michele Stemler; several nieces; and one nephew.
He is preceded in passing by his parents.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
