John W. Buser, 89, of Mechanicsburg, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 24,
2023, Forest Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carlisle.
John was born on May 19, 1934, in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Rev. Daniel
Everitt and Evelyn Glenne (McMillen) Buser. Early in life, he married his precious
bride, Margaret E. (Messimer) Buser, who preceded him in passing on June 27,
2022.
After high school, John enlisted and served in the United States Army. John was
employed for over 30 years as a truck driver at Roadway Express. His driving
expertise allotted him the safe driving award for driving 3 million miles without an
accident. At the time he reached his 3 millionth mile, he was one of the first in
the country do so.
He was a member of the Duncannon Assembly of God Church in Duncannon.
John’s enjoyed landscaping, and when he was younger, riding motorcycles. His
greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Buser and his fiance’ Holly Ginter of Carlisle
and Joel Buser and his wife Nicole of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, Joshua
Buser, Jordan Buser, Javin Mark Buser, Willow Eve Buser, and Jadon Buser; four
great-grandchildren, Jayson Buser, Braelyn Buser, Cohen Buser, and Dawson Buser; and brothers and
sisters.
John is preceded in passing by his parents and his wife.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the George P. Garman
Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, with Pastor Dennis
Campbell officiating.
Interment will immediately follow in the Dressler’s Ridge United Methodist
Church Cemetery.
