John Eric Hendricks, 49, of Port Trevorton, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.
John was born on September 26, 1973, in Lewisburg, a son of Leroy Hendricks, Jr. and the late Sharon (Woodling) Hendricks.
John attended Selinsgrove area schools and worked at various jobs throughout his life.
He was a member of the Selinsgrove VFW Post 6631, Selinsgrove American Legion Post 25, Selinsgrove Moose Lodge No. 1173, Kratzerville Fire Company, Hummels Wharf Fire Company, Shamokin Dam Fire Company, and Rooster’s Corner Sportsmen’s Club. John’s favorite pastime was spending time at all of these various establishments and volunteering with club fundraising activities. He also enjoyed shooting pool and participating in various pool leagues.
John is survived by his father, Leroy; brother, Daryl Hendricks and his wife Susan of Berwick; grandmother, Rosemary Hendricks of Selinsgrove; two nieces, Rebecca Hendricks of Danville and Nicole Baessler and her husband Todd of Flying Hills; one nephew, Marcus Getkin of Sinking Spring; and his many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon; paternal grandfather, Leroy Hendricks, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Aletha Woodling.
A private memorial service will be held at Witmer’s Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
