Judy C. Shirk, 66, of Enola, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Viva Senior Living in Harrisburg.

Judy was born on October 13, 1958, in Sunbury, a daughter of Beulah (Reichenbach) Shirk and the late Herbert Frank Shirk.

Judy was a 1976 graduate of Middleburg High School, and later earned an associate degree as a medical secretary at the Thompson Institute.

She was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church and attended Summerdale United Methodist Church where she played in the bell choir.  In high school, she enjoyed playing the saxophone in the band.  Earlier in life, she enjoyed crocheting.  Her hobbies were playing the piano, shopping, and attending community events, especially Richfield Dutch Days and Christmas in the Park.

As a young woman, Judy enjoyed being a caregiver in her local community.  She worked part-time as a transcriptionist at Cummings Associates in Harrisburg.  Judy was employed and retired after 36 years of service as a medical transcriptionist at Holy Spirit Hospital.  Over her years of employment, she became friends with numerous doctors, nurses, hospital employees and guests.

Along with her mother, Beulah, Judy is survived by her siblings, Linda Troutman, Donald Shirk, Victor Shirk, June Loncar and her husband Steve, and Steven Shirk and his wife Julie; nieces and nephews, Darrell Troutman, Melissa Zile and her husband Ben, Lori Rockey and her husband Keith, David Sidler, Ryan Shirk and his wife Jennifer, and Kaylee Shirk; and great-nieces and great-nephew, Hannah Rockey, Remington Shirk, and Lily Tolbert.

Judy is preceded in passing by her father, Herbert; sister, Faith Sidler; brothers-in-law, David Sidler and Dean Troutman; and three furpuppies, Buddy, Oliver, and Timmy.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Richfield United Methodist Church, 82 Church Street, Richfield, PA, with Pastor Brian Myfelt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Judy be made to Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
