Kenneth E. Newman, 86, of Selinsgrove, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Danville.

Kenneth was born on May 21, 1938, the son of the late Dervin and Dorothy (Erdley) Newman.  On November 1, 1958, he married the love of his life, Ruby (Brown) Newman.

He attended Flint Valley Grammar Schoolhouse and Selinsgrove High School.

Kenneth retired as a dairy consultant from Standard Dairy in 2021 after 34 years of service.  He was a smart man and enjoyed his position sharing his knowledge of grains and animals.

He loved the outdoors and was known to be a master farmer raising an exceptional vegetable garden to later freeze or can to last throughout the year.  Kenny loved tractors, sports, and going for walks and rides looking at nature and animals.  He knew every hollow and road around the area.  He was an avid sportsman who also loved animals, hunting, and wildlife.

Kenneth was an excellent cook who prepared Sunday and Holiday dinners that many enjoyed.  He was humerous and loved to joke with people.  Kenny was exceptionally strong and a hard-working man with many talents.  He sang every day.  Boy, oh boy, could he sing and draw!

Several caregivers loved his sense of humor and his caring heart.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to his caregivers.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Natalie (Oliver) Garcia, Tami (Lawrence, Jr.) Moyer, and Joel Brown Newman; grandchildren, Tyler (Brandi) Moyer, Amy (Colby) Spatz, and Laura (Tim) DeYoung; great-grandchildren, LynnLee, Lucas, Logan, David, Micah, and one arriving in March; brother, Dale (Debra) Newman; and his life-long best friend, Lee Bertinet.

He is preceded in passing by his parents and siblings, Richard, Elaine, and William.

A memorial service will be held at Ebenezer Bible Church, 3066 Neitz Valley Road, Selinsgrove, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Pete Carnahan officiating.
