Kenneth Irven Rood, 70, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown, PA.

Ken was born on October 2, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late Irven and Sarah Elaine (O’Neil) Rood. On November 2, 1974, Ken married the love of his life and best friend, Carol (Snook) Rood.

Ken was a graduate of Brainerd High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served for six years. For almost thirty years, he dedicated his life to operating his own painting business. He was an avid trapper, and he loved deer and duck hunting. Ken was happily married to his life partner and caregiver, Carol. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with Carol, his sons and grandchildren, and his loving furbabies.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his two sons, Jamie Rood and his wife, Sonya, and Scott Rood and his wife, Raena; his grandchildren, Christian Rom and his wife McKenzie, Amber Rood, Garrin Rood, Valerie Rood, Benjamin Rood, Samuel Rood, and George Rood; his great-grandchildren, Oliver, Rosaleigh, and Nichola; his siblings, Cindy Fields, Shelley Watson, Jodi Calkins, and Doug Rood; and his furbabies, Uff-Uff and Ginger.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Irven and Sarah Elaine; his sister, Tracy Zontelli; and his beloved cousin, Mike O'Neil, who was like a brother to him.

Services will be held in Aitkin, Minnesota, and announced upon completion.
