Lawrence Dale Teats, 72, of Oriental, PA, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg.  He put up a good fight for nearly three years.

He was a loving partner to his companion and the love of his life, Gloria Inch, for 27 loving years.  Lawrence was also an amazing father to his daughters, April Kerstetter of McAlisterville and Heather Teats and fiance’ Justin Witmer of Halifax; his sons, David Teats and his companion Michelle Kibe of Liverpool, Michael Teats and his wife Jolene of Thompsontown, and Brian Teats; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Aside from being survived by his partner, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Lawrence also leaves behind his precious mother, Mabel Teats, of Port Trevorton; brothers, Gary Teats and his wife Gloria of Port Trevorton, Larry Teats and his companion Nancy, and Bruce Teats and his wife RaeEllen of Florida; sisters, Cindy Markley and her husband George of Port Trevorton, Darlene Kerstetter and her husband Rodney of Richfield, Bonnie Goss and her husband Mark of McClure, and Brenda Strawser and her husband Earl of Mt. Pleasant Mills; as well as his two beloved dogs, Nelly and Luna.

One of Lawrence’s biggest accomplishments was being a father.  He loved his family with all of his heart.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, softball, bowling, hunting, and especially playing card games and making his famous fried green tomatoes.

Earlier in life, Lawrence was a member of the Bowling League, Softball League, and Golf League.

Lawrence is preceded in passing by his father, Stearl Teats.

A memorial service will be held at the discretion of the family at a later date.
