Marian A. “Dolly” Hoffman, 88, of Freeburg, passed on August 26, 2023, at Grayson View in Selinsgrove.

She was born on June 23, 1935, in her grandparents’ home in Freeburg, a daughter of the late Warren E. “Wally” and Ruth A. “Polly” (Moyer) Miller.  On April 23, 1955, she married Joseph J. Hoffman, who preceded her in death on October 19, 2020, breaking a marital union of 65 years.

She was a graduate of Freeburg High School Class of 1954.

Dolly worked as a waitress for many years at the Dutch Pantry and Holiday Inn, in the cafeteria at the Freeburg Elementary School, and then to finalize her working career, she hosted at The Empire Hotel in Freeburg.

She had a passion for playing bingo and would travel far and wide to play.  She and Joe enjoyed many winters being “snowbirds” in Florida.

Dolly is survived by her three children, Jeff (Frosty), Shawn (Hov), and Tracy (Brian); five grandchildren, Troy, Jamie, Jessica, Jeremiah, and Jedidiah; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Jevan, Wyatt, Cadence, Ezra, and Silas; brother, Michael (Barb); and brother-in-law, Glenn.

She is preceded in passing by her husband; parents; sister, Kathy; and brother, John.

As per her request, there will be no services.
