Mae Arlene Aucker, 81, of Port Trevorton, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 18, 2023, at her home.

Arlene was born on October 11, 1942, at home in Perry Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Womer) Dressler.  On March 2, 1963, she married Barry Aucker who preceded her in passing on August 16, 2020.  At the time of Barry’s passing, they shared over 57 years of marriage.

Arlene was a 1960 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.  She was formerly employed at Susquehanna University for Aramark in food service and The Dutch Pantry.  Arlene later worked and retired from food service at Selinsgrove Area School District.

She was a member of the Port Trevorton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Saint Paul’s Verdilla UCC.  Arlene enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, playing card games, putting together puzzles, and reading The Daily Item.

Arlene is survived by her three children, Tracey Houdeshel and her husband William, Terri Moyle, and Brad Aucker and his wife Wendy; six grandchildren, Heath Moyle and his companion Sophia Logue, Bryce Houdeshel and his companion Fayth Stephenson, Bryan Houdeshel, Eryn Haley and her husband Aaron, Emma Aucker, and Laura Aucker; two great-granddaughters, Harper Haley and Harlyn Moyle; brother, Glenn Dressler and his wife Fern; three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Hoover, Carol Gaugler and her husband Jim; and Barbara Aucker; and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene is preceded in passing by her husband, Barry; parents, Elmer and Clara; step-mother, Wilma Dressler; brother, Marlin Dressler; sister-in-law, Helen Zimmerman; and brothers-in-law, Robert Aucker, Stanley Aucker, and Ronald Aucker.

Per Arlene’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Arlene be made to Saint Paul’s Verdilla UCC, 3272 Produce Road, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
