Marshall C. “Henner” “Snuffy” Kerstetter, 89, formerly of Port Trevorton, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Nottingham Village.

Marshall was born on January 24, 1935, in Chapman Township, Snyder County, a son of the late William Henry and Iva Stella (Kerstetter) Kerstetter.  On August 16, 1962, he married his bride, Arlene S. (Thierolf) Kerstetter, who survives.

Marshall attended Locust Grove School.  Early in his life, he dredged for coal on the Susquehanna River.  Marshall was employed as a forklift operator at Houser Homes and later Thor Industries from where he retired.

He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and junking with his son, David.

Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; children, Jeffrey Kerstetter and his wife Linda of Northumberland, Karen Barge and her husband Ronnie of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Tammy Herrold and her husband Keith of Port Trevorton; daughter-in-law, Deborah Kerstetter of Port Trevorton; grandchildren, Cody Kerstetter of Port Trevorton and Brittany Martin and her husband Shane of Mt. Pleasant Mills; and great-grandchildren, Aidan, Trevin, and Alaina.

He is preceded in passing by his son, David Kerstetter; parents, William and Iva; brothers, Harvey Kerstetter, John Kerstetter, and Albert Kerstetter; and sister, Anna (Kerstetter) Brosius.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853.

Interment will immediately follow in Grubbs Church Cemetery.
