Ned J. Pheasant, 95, of Richfield, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Ned was born on April 4, 1929, in McClure, Snyder County, PA, a son of the late Harry Z. and Nettie E (Delong) Pheasant. On November 24, 1956, Ned married his loving bride, Sarah E. (Arnold) Pheasant. They shared over 67 years of a beautiful marriage with God at the head of their home.

Ned was a 1947 graduate of McClure High School. He worked for over 40 years in the banking industry, with most of those years as an assistant vice president and branch manager of M&T Bank in Middleburg.

He was an active member of St John Lutheran Church in Richfield, where he sang in the choir, served on council, attended synod assembly, was treasurer and assisted as pastor whenever needed.

Ned was a family man, cherishing precious time with his family. He also enjoyed baking pies, bread, and sticky buns, gardening, and doing yard work, especially mowing his grass which he enjoyed doing until the age of 90!

Ned is survived by his precious wife, Sarah; daughter, Valerie Smith and her husband David; son, Eric Pheasant; Grandchildren Sarah Karper, Heather Knarr and her husband Matt, and Ethan Smith; great-children Aiden Karper, Ellie Knarr, and Ian Knarr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Harry and Nettie; daughter Pauline Elizabeth in infancy, an angel son, and siblings, Margaret Weader, Robert Pheasant, Monroe Pheasant, Jim Pheasant, Joan Hess, Charles Pheasant, Jack Pheasant, and Dennis Pheasant.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at St John Lutheran Church, 752 Main Street, Richfield, PA 17086, with Crystal Bollinger officiating.

A private graveside service will be held at the discretion of the family in McClure Union Cemetery.
