Olga C. (Sarver) Brookhart, 82, of Millerstown, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Olga was born on June 4, 1940, in Millerstown, a daughter of the late Roscoe O. Sarver and Fay Lewtisha Markle.
On October 19, 1958, she married Harold W. Brookhart who survives.
Olga was a 1958 graduate of Greenwood Joint High School. She had been employed at Benner’s Restaurant in Thompsontown as a waitress and Rainbow Connection Day Care in Thompsontown as a cook.
She was a member of St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, Millerstown Community Success, Susquehanna Sweetheart Red Hat Society, Perry Valley Grange, and the Millerstown Senior Center. Olga was a former leader of the Girl Scouts of America and a State Teen Director, State Director, and National Teen Director of the National Campers and Hikers Association.
Olga enjoyed cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Harold W. Brookhart whom she married; daughters, Debra E. Fuller and her husband Mark of Middletown and Dixie L. Kinzer and her husband Andy of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Amy Slutter and her husband Robert of Landisville, Abby Bales and her husband Jonathan of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Alexander Fuller and her companion Mikhaila of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Wesley Kinzer of Mifflintown, and Jacob Kinzer of Mifflintown; and nine great-grandchildren.
Olga is preceded by her parents; daughter, Darla K. Brookhart; sisters Fay E. Montgomery and Dorothy L. Meloy; and brother, Roy O. Sarver.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church, 5 Barner Road, Liverpool, PA 17045, with Pastor Robert Lescallette officiating.
Interment will immediately follow in St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Olga be forwarded to St. John (Barners) Lutheran Church Building Fund, 5 Barner Road, Liverpool, PA 17045 or Millerstown Ambulance League, PO Box 34, Millerstown, PA 17062.
