Pauline A. Benner, 93, of Evendale, PA, entered into rest on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.  Born on November 6, 1930, in Perry Township, Snyder County, she was the second of seven children born to the late Reno and Hazel (Leitzel) Shellenberger.

On November 22, 1951, she married Herman R. Benner, who predeceased her on March 5, 2017.  She was previously a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Richfield and the Women of the ELCA.  In her early years, Pauline was a seamstress in the Richfield Shirt Factory, and later worked with her husband on the family dairy farm.

Pauline is survived by a daughter, Dawn Pilotti and her husband Roger of Lebanon, PA; a son, Dale Benner and wife Kelly of Freedom, PA; two grandsons, Anthony Pilotti and wife Betsy and Maxwell Benner and wife Nicole; great-grandson, Cohen Benner; sister, Mary Roth of Marysville; and two brothers, Harold Shellenberger and Carl Shellenberger and wife Judy all of Richfield.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Herman; parents, Reno and Hazel; and three sisters, Phyllis Minium, Shirley Moyer, and Doris Sheaffer.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, with Pastor Terry Sheaffer officiating.

Burial will be private in the Goodwill Cemetery at Bunkertown.
