Rebecca Ann (Becky) Baney, 59, of Paxtonville, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 20, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Becky was born on November 25, 1964, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late George and Patricia (Eckrod) Newman.  On September 14, 2001, she married her loving husband, Shawn Baney.

Becky was a 1982 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.  Over the years, she had been employed at the Liverpool sewing factory, Blough-Wagner, Danville Cabinet Industry, Dunkin Donuts, Wendt’s Pork Palace, Middleburg Elementary School, Evangelical Community Hospital Cafeteria, Bingaman & Son Lumber, Auto Zone, and Wood-Mode.

Becky enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, watching The Hallmark Channel, playing games and cards, doing puzzles, collecting Crayola and strawberry items, attending carnivals and fairs, and, especially, spending time with her family and fur baby, Piper.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn; children, Kyle Herb and his wife Lindsey, Tyler Herb and companion Jessica, Mahlon Baney, Matthew Baney, and Emily Baney and her companion Clayton; grandchildren, Kenzie, Kailee, Gauge, Peyton, Bentley, Tabby, and Noah; siblings, Kim Newman, Cindee Newman, and Joanna Stahr and husband Roy; niece, Kelly; nephews, Shane, Keith, and Jarrod; and her fur baby, Piper.

Becky is preceded in passing by her parents, George and Patricia and brother, Steve Newman.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853, with Pastor Jean Eckrod officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in Mount Zion (Halls) Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
