Richard E. “Richie” Miller, 85, of Liverpool, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Emanuel Center, Danville.

Richie was born on September 12, 1938, in Liverpool, a son of the late Albert and Esther (Lower) Miller.  On November 15, 1961, Richie married the love of his life, Janet L. (Knouse) Miller.  They recently shared over 62 years of marriage.

Richie was a 1956 graduate of Greenwood Joint High School.  In 1961, he was drafted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. While in the Army, he was stationed at Ft. Myers while on assignment at The Pentagon.

He was a lifetime member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364 and Arbogast Lutheran Church.  Richie enjoyed playing bingo, going to yard sales, doing puzzle books, and attending Chinese auctions.

Richie is lovingly survived by his wife, Janet; son, Jeff Miller and his wife Tonya; a niece who was raised as a daughter, Amanda Majek and her husband Ryan; grandchildren, Ethan Edward Miller, Abigail Miller and her fiance’ Trevor Stuck, Blake Miller, and Blayre Miller; great-grandchildren, Mason and Mackenzie; numerous nieces and nephews; and generations of family.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Albert and Esther; and 13 brothers and sisters.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, with Pastor Tom Willard officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Arbogast Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Richie be made to Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community of Danville, Emanual Center, 1707 Montour Boulevard, Danville, PA 17821.
