Ricky L. Hayes, 68, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, entered eternal rest on July 5, 2022, at his home.

He was born on January 22, 1953, in Danville, a son of the late Walter Hayes and Pearl (Goodling) Hayes.  On December 8, 2001, Ricky married Ginger (Stratford) Hayes.

Ricky graduated from East Juniata High School.  After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War.  Ricky was employed as a Master Plumber with Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 520 in Harrisburg.

He was a member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364 and the Hunters Valley Sportsman’s Club.

Ricky loved working on cars, shooting pool, watching Nascar and football, and enjoying any type of sports activities.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger; a daughter, Amanda Hayes and her husband Bryar Egenrieder of Millerstown; a stepdaughter, Raquel Lyter and close family friend Mechele of Mt. Pleasant Mills; a stepson, Jon-Michael Lyter and his wife Amy of West Chester, PA; three grandchildren, Abby, Kennedy, and Colson; and brothers and sisters, Frank Hayes (Kris), Barry Hayes, Mike Hayes (Tina), Carol Hoffman (Dale), and Deb Martin (Craig).

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Hayes.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853.
