Rita Fredericks, 77, of Liverpool, entered eternal rest at her home on Friday, January 13, 2023.

Rita was born on April 12, 1945, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Ciuckis) Lees.  On April 15, 1975, Rita married her loving husband Louis Fredericks who survives.

Earlier in life, Rita was employed as the Bishop’s Secretary for the Diocese of New Jersey and later for the Diocese of Harrisburg.  She was last employed as the secretary of The Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen.

She enjoyed cooking, and she was known for being well organized.  She loved her neighbors, friends, and especially her family, and they all loved her.  Rita was affectionately known as “Riri”, a name given to her by her grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her husband Louis; two sons Lynn Woodruff and his wife Karen and Jason Woodruff and his partner Dorith; four grandchildren Tara Woodruff, Kyle Woodruff, Madison Woodruff, and Chloe Woodruff; two sisters Helen (Sissy) Sweeney and Marian Griffith;one brother Sammy Lees; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

In honoring Rita’s wishes, there will be no services.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA 17045, has been entrusted with assisting the family.
