Rose Wanner, 60, of Geronimo, OK, passed away on September 27, 2024, after a 10-year battle with COPD.
Rose was born on March 11, 1964, to Marvin and Elsie Stauffer in Leonardtown, MD. In 1981, she met John Wanner, and they wed in October 1982, going on to have 8 children, Michael Paul, Daryl, Laura Jean, Irene, Sheila Marie, Drusilla, Lorraine, and John Wayne.
Rose spent her time taking care of her family and helping out with her grandchildren. She loved crocheting, baking, horses, coloring, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Marvin and Elsie Stauffer.
She is survived by her husband, John Wanner; her children, Michael, Daryl, Laura, Irene, Sheila, Drusilla, Lorraine, and John Wayne; her 26 grandchildren; and her great-grandson.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA 17853. A funeral service will be on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Brubaker Church, 2517 Black Woods Road, Port Trevorton, PA 17864.
