Liverpool, PA

Thomas E. “Tommy” Johnson, 82, of Liverpool, died on Monday, November 25, 2024, with his loving wife of 52 years by his side.

He was born on September 19, 1942, in Leaksville, NC, now known as Eden.  He was the only son of the late Josiah D. and Betty P. (Tripp) Johnson.  On March 24, 1972, he married the former Linda Lou Eason.

Tommy graduated from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, MS, in 1960.  He then attended Mississippi College.  He later got a job that he loved operating a computer.

He always loved the Dallas Cowboys and never missed a game on TV to cheer them on.

More than the Cowboys, he loved his LORD, who he accepted as his SAVIOR at a young age, so we know that he is now in HEAVEN, with JESUS.  He became a member of Blessed Hope Bible Church after it began in 1988.

Tommy and his wife, Linda, moved to Liverpool in May of 1977, and fell in love with this lovely, historical little borough.

He immediately began a computer job in Harrisburg for several years, and eventually got a restaurant job in Enola, washing dishes for 30 years, where he was appreciated.  After a bad auto accident, he retired.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Johnson, of Liverpool and a precious sister, Bette Jo Patterson (who also loves the LORD) and her husband Bob and their two sons of Oxford, MS.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hunters Valley Cemetery with Pastor Gary Kramer from Blessed Hope Bible Church officiating.  Pastor Kramer’s wife will be singing a solo for the occasion.

There will be a small celebration of Tommy going home to Heaven at the church immediately following the service.
