Timothy E. (Tim) Witmyer, 71, of Millerstown, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Tim was born on December 7, 1950, in Oliver Township, Perry County, a son of the late Lester W. Witmyer and Arlene F. (Strickland) Fisher.  On August 29, 1981, he married the love of his life Trudy A. (Sarver) Witmyer.  They recently shared 41 years of marriage.

He was a graduate of Newport High School.  After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy.  Tim retired from the Navy Depot where he was employed as a warehouseman.

Tim was a diehard Penn State fan and enjoyed all things Penn State.  He also enjoyed tending to his flowers and landscaping his yard.  One of his greatest enjoyments was spending time with his wife and his fur baby Rascal.

He was a member of the Newport Order of Owls, the Millerstown Moose Lodge 925, and the Liverpool American Legion Post No. 364.

Tim is survived by his wife; brother Thomas E. Witmyer and his wife Tana; two sisters Susan Ehrhart and her husband Daryl and Cherry Smith and her husband Richard; sister-in-law Dorann Sarver and her husband Don Kratzer; brothers-in-law Dale Sarver and Wade Sarver and his wife Jodi; and his beloved cat Rascal.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws Millard and Thelma Sarver; and sister-in-law Gloria Sarver.

Services are private.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Witmyer kindly requests memorial contributions in loving memory of Tim be made to a local animal rescue of the donor’s choice.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 606 N. Front Street, Liverpool, PA, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
